256-bit SSL

Lottoland utilises 256-bit SSL - the same high standard utilised by online banking.

Coupon

The coupon is the numbered portion of the Normal or System ticket, where the numbers are selected for an upcoming lottery draw.

Deposit/Staking limits

This function allows you to restrict the amount that you invest monthly to win the lottery!

Draw

At each draw, the winning numbers for the EuroJackpot and EuroMillions are determined. As a rule, the draw is broadcast live or recorded and shown live on TV and on the Internet.

EuroJackpot

EuroJackpot is a new pan-European lottery, launched in March 2012. It follows the format of 5 out of 50 numbers and 2 out of 8 supplementary numbers.

EuroMillions

EuroMillions is a transnational lottery run by the state lotteries in Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain. A minimum jackpot of € 15 million is guaranteed.

Full System

In a Full System ticket, all possible combinations of numbers are also actually played in the lottery.

High-paying Lottery

A high-odds lottery is one with a regular double-digit million amount on offer. Both the EuroJackpot and EuroMillions count as high-paying lotteries.

Jackpot

If no player is able to match all the correct numbers for a lottery draw, then the winnings 'roll-over' into the next draw.

Jackpot Hunt

When Hunting a Jackpot, a lottery ticket is automatically entered into all future draws until the jackpot is won.

Lottery ticket fee

The lottery ticket fee is always 0.50 Euros at Lottoland - regardless of the number of tickets purchased for a transaction, or the term of a subscription.

Netiquette

The Netiquette section describes the code of conduct for publishing articles on Lottoland. It is a combination of the words "Internet" and "Etiquette".

Normal Ticket

The Normal ticket is the classic lottery ticket where the regular lottery numbers are printed.

Player Pass

The Player Pass at Lottoland contains the most important information about your player account.

Player Support

We are open every day of the week, around the clock, to support you.

Prize levels

Prize levels are determined based on the number of matches between a ticket and the lottery numbers drawn. The actual amounts at each prize level are determined using a totalizer principle, which are then split amongst all players in a particular income class.

QuickSelection

The QuickSelection function allows for a lightning-quick selection of numbers for an upcoming draw, using a random selection. Of course, you may still amend the random selection before purchasing your ticket.

Renewal Period

The Renewal Period specifies how often the charges for a subscription or JackpotHunt are deducted from your account, or alternate payment method.

Selection System

With a Selection System, only a selection (subset) of possible number combinations will actually be played.

Self-exclusion

With the self-exclusion option, you can suspend your account with immediate effect for 6 months, or delete your account permanently.

Subscription

At Lottoland, all tickets may be set up as a subscription (also known as a permanent license). They are automatically renewed until you cancel the subscription.

System Ticket

A system ticket is an extension of the normal ticket, allowing you to pick additional numbers for a draw. As a result, more combinations are generated, increasing your chances of winning, with little additional effort!

Term

The Term specifies the time period for which a lottery ticket is automatically entered into all selected draws.

Ticket sale close

The ticket sale close is the last moment at which you may purchase a ticket for an upcoming draw.

Totalizer Principle

The EuroJackpot and EuroMillions work on a totalizer principle i.e. player stakes are distributed on a fixed percentage per winnings/payout class or tier.

Winnings

The ratio indicates the amount of money that is available for each tier of winnings for a lottery. This figure is recalculated for each draw and depends on the total contribution from all players.

Win-o-Meter

The Win-o-Meter shows you in real-time the probabilities of winning with your current number selection. As you update and modify your lottery ticket, the new odds of winning are updated by the Win-o-Meter and shown to you.
